Iglesia de San Jaime

Neither its name nor its appearance suggests that this church bears any relation to the Jewish culture that once flourished in the city

However, the site of the Sant Jaume Church was, for many centuries, the old synagogue of Barcelona.

It is found on Calle Ferran, one of the busiest shopping and commercial streets in the city; Calle Ferran, in turn, is located in what is commonly referred to as the Call Menor, an extension of the original Jewish Quarter (El Call).
