The Residents Association Petritxol Street was born in 1947 with the intention of improving one of the most characteristic streets of Old Town. Three years later, concerned about the practical disappearance of the Feast of Mercy, decided to restore it and began to put a Virgin of Mercy, Agustin Agraz work in a niche in September 1950. The idea helped spur the initiative to recover the festivities from City Hall. The image soon enjoyed a certain popularity and some brides wore her bouquet; Also, put a poem at the foot of the image, which was changing regularly. Mutilated several times, Mercy Street Petritxol is now protected by a strong plastic screen.
